Practical assistance in action

Community projects with impact

Community Grants are aimed at helping groups who already make a huge difference to those in need, so they can have an even bigger impact. These groups might struggle to access funding through other avenues but are meeting very real needs in clever ways.

Our grants have been used to support a wide range of people, including those facing poverty and disadvantage, people living with disabilities, at-risk youth, refugees and asylum seekers, First Nations people, those experiencing homelessness or domestic violence, elderly people, and those who have been incarcerated or affected by substance abuse and their families.

Our aim is to provide practical and meaningful assistance where it’s most needed.

FAQs

How do I apply for a Community Grant?

We want to support organisations that have great ideas and creative strategies to drive real change in their communities. It’s not easy to get funding for such projects, which is why we’re here to support smaller charities and initiatives that miss out on government and other large funding opportunities.

There will be two grant rounds in 2024:

  • January 2024 grant round: Opens 1 December 2023 / Closes 22 January 2024
  • July 2024 grant round: Opens 8 July 2024 / Closes 31 July 2024
